A Tequila that embodies the spirit of Day of the Dead

Clase Azul, one of Mexico’s most esteemed tequila brands, has joined the Day of the Dead festivities with an extraordinary limited edition. Named Clase Azul Tequila Day of the Dead Limited Edition Aromas, the company aims to honor one of Mexico’s most deeply rooted and cherished traditions.

The Inspiration: Capturing the scents of a tradition

Day of the Dead is a holiday that permeates every corner of Mexico, and one of its most distinctive features is the array of scents that fill the streets and homes.

From copal to marigold flowers, along with delicious dishes and sweets, these smells create a unique atmosphere that Clase Azul seeks to encapsulate in their new edition. The Aromas tequila is a tribute to this sensory richness that defines the celebration.

Crafting: A unique and artisanal process

Master distiller Viridiana Tinoco has been responsible for bringing this special tequila to life. The añejo has been aged for 25 months in American whiskey barrels and finished in Armagnac barrels, a traditional French distilled spirit.

Tinoco chose these specific barrels for their ability to impart complex and fruity notes to the tequila, perfectly aligning with the values and quality that characterize Clase Azul.

Tasting Notes: A sensory journey

The result of this meticulous crafting process is a tequila with aromatic notes of peach, pear, prune, caramelized walnut, toasted wood, and clove.

On the palate, flavors of peach, walnut, clove, and cocoa can be appreciated, culminating in a long and velvety finish with hints of cocoa and cinnamon.

Design and Availability: A tribute in every detail

The bottle in which this tequila is presented is a masterpiece in itself. Decorated with an illustration by Mexican artist Jimena Estíbaliz and adorned with a 24-karat gold-plated ornament, the decanter is a faithful reflection of the cultural richness of the Day of the Dead.

This limited edition will consist of 3,500 bottles and will be available starting October 20th at Clase Azul Boutique La Terraza and Clase Azul Boutique Airport Los Cabos, priced at 24,500 Mexican pesos per liter.

With this special edition, Clase Azul offers not just an exceptional tequila but also a tribute to one of Mexico’s most important and meaningful festivities.
